Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead our Accounting & Finance Department. This role demands strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance and Accounting team with strategic direction.

  • Oversee general ledger operations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Reconcile company accounts and deliver financial analysis reports.

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory taxes (NSITF, PAYE, WHT, VAT, Pension).

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting alongside management.

  • Monitor financial performance and provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Maintain financial records using Sage or similar accounting software.

  • Supervise payroll processing and staff compensation accuracy.

  • Ensure strict internal controls and financial policy adherence.

  • Oversee cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and audit processes.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (CBN, FIRS, etc.) and prepare returns.

  • Recruit, train, and manage junior finance staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

  • ICAN or ACCA certification is mandatory.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, with 3 years in senior leadership.

  • Strong command of Nigerian financial regulations.

  • Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • High integrity and ethical standards.
