About the Role

International Logistics is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Quality Control Officer to manage project costs, ensure material compliance, and oversee quality control processes on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to ensure top-tier delivery on both client and internal projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated bill of quantities (BOQs) and budgets for internal and client projects.

  • Evaluate tender submissions and ensure alignment with project specs.

  • Assist in compiling tender documentation.

  • Advise project teams on cost estimates, potential overruns, and control measures.

  • Monitor and record measurements, variations, and contractual agreements.

  • Evaluate Value of Work Done (VOWD) and prepare contractor payment certificates.

  • Inspect and verify resources on projects: labour, equipment, and materials.

  • Track and report material deliveries, verifying compliance with specifications.

  • Evaluate on-site work progress and promptly flag any discrepancies.

  • Execute all post-contract activities: measurements, variations, interim valuations, final accounts, and reports.

  • Maintain and track approved item rates and measurement records.

  • Collaborate with project accountants on financial forecasts and reporting.

  • Oversee quality inspections on goods and services delivered by vendors.

  • Record inspections and identify defects or deviations from required standards.

  • Recommend process improvements to maintain purchase and quality standards.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying and/or Quality Control roles.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, surveying software, and reporting.

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Physically and mentally fit with the flexibility to work long hours if required.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
