Role Summary
A reputable Microfinance Institution in Abuja is seeking to hire 2 Internal Control Officers to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, safeguard assets, and prevent fraud through routine checks and investigations.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate internal controls to ensure effective compliance

Conduct periodic audits and reviews of operational activities

Detect and report fraud, financial inconsistencies, or breaches in procedure

Assess risk and develop recommendations to improve processes

Liaise with management to enforce internal audit and control policies

Prepare detailed audit reports and suggest corrective actions

Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely resolution

Assist external auditors as needed during formal audit processes
Ideal Candidate Profile

2–5 years’ experience in internal control, audit, or compliance
-
Strong understanding of financial regulations and internal audit practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Must reside in or near Zuba, Madala, Deidei, Kubwa, Dutse, or Gwarinpa

Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking

Good communication and report-writing skills
