📝 Job Description
Our client, a reputable Microfinance Bank in Abuja, seeks a qualified Internal Control Officer to join its team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and maintaining the integrity of internal control systems within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular and surprise internal audits on branches and departments

Identify, analyze, and mitigate operational and financial risks

Monitor and report compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations

Provide recommendations for process improvement and control enhancement

Support the management in regulatory reporting and documentation

Ensure effective monitoring of all financial and operational activities
Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in internal control or audit, preferably in a microfinance bank or financial institution

Strong understanding of microfinance banking operations and internal control systems

Excellent knowledge of risk management, compliance, and audit frameworks

High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and audit software

Must reside around Zuba, Madala, Deidei, Kubwa, Dutse, or Gwarinpa axis in Abuja
