Job Summary
The Project Administrator will coordinate and support the implementation of IITA’s project activities, ensuring that deliverables, reports, and documentation align with project goals, timelines, and budget. The role also involves liaising with stakeholders, tracking financials, and ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance with donor and institutional requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate project plans, activities, and reporting timelines.

Ensure timely submission of donor reports and partner payments.

Work closely with Program Accountants to align financials with budget items.

Monitor progress and advise on project extensions, budget reallocations, and challenges.

Support operational functions such as meetings, logistics, and report writing.

Maintain organized digital and physical files for all project documents.

Track donor pipelines and grant systems to ensure accurate data and reporting.

Liaise with HQ and program units for compliance and grant-related support.

Collaborate with the Project Development and Administration Unit (PDAU) for sub-grant development.

Perform any additional duties as required by the Head of Breeding or supervisor.
Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.

At least 8 years of relevant experience in a structured organization handling project administration or coordination.
Key Competencies

Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and time management.

Strong knowledge of the project management cycle and Oracle software.

Good understanding of financial processes and budgeting.

Excellent report writing, communication, and documentation skills.

Strong teamwork, problem-solving ability, and ability to perform under pressure.
