About the Role

The Senior Brand Manager will be fully responsible for the Brown Forman portfolio in Nigeria, which includes globally renowned spirit brands like Jack Daniel’s, Gentleman Jack, Woodford Reserve, Gin Mare, and others.

The ideal candidate will lead brand strategy, planning, innovation, marketing execution, and performance tracking—across both consumer and trade channels, driving equity, engagement, and profitable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Brand Leadership:
    Drive end-to-end development and execution of brand strategies tailored to local market insights and aligned with Brown Forman’s global positioning.

  • Marketing & Campaigns:
    Design and implement full 360° campaigns (ATL, BTL, Digital) to grow brand equity and desirability.

  • Brand Planning & Budgeting:
    Own the annual brand business plan, IMAP (marketing budget), and performance evaluation (NSR, SOM, Profitability, KBIs).

  • Innovation Launches:
    Lead local introduction of new brands/products, collaborating with global teams to ensure market success.

  • Execution & Advocacy:
    Co-lead with Trade Marketing, mentor Brand Ambassadors, and manage agency relationships for seamless execution.

  • Influencer & PR Engagement:
    Build PR strategy, luxury collaborations, and influencer campaigns to strengthen premium image.

  • Internal Alignment:
    Deliver internal communication strategies to align commercial, marketing, and frontline teams.

  • Net Sales Revenue (NSR)

  • Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT)

  • Share of Market (SOM)

  • Brand Health Tracker Indices

  • IMAP Utilization and ROI


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus)

  • 7–10 years experience in brand marketing or commercial FMCG roles

  • Proven expertise in managing luxury or super-premium spirits brands

  • Digital-savvy with strong campaign planning and execution skills

  • On-trade (HORECA) knowledge is essential

  • Must have P&L ownership experience (budgeting, pricing, ROI tracking)

  • Excellent stakeholder management, creative thinking, and leadership

  • Familiarity with multicultural marketing and working in global environments
