Company Overview

Pensions Alliance Limited is a licensed Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) with almost 20 years of experience managing retirement savings under Nigeria’s Pension Reform Act. It is a joint venture between FSDH Holding Company Ltd. and African Alliance Insurance Plc.

Role Summary

The Investment Risk Officer will support the Head of Risk Management in handling the market and investment risk responsibilities for the company’s pension funds (RSA Funds I–V). This role includes reporting, appraisals, monitoring risk limits, and providing insights on macroeconomic trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quarterly BRMC Report:
    Prepare the investment section of the Board Risk Management Committee report, highlighting risks and performance issues.

  • Performance Dashboard:
    Maintain and update a dashboard tracking fund performance, operational risks, and security metrics.

  • Investment Appraisal & Risk Analysis:
    Conduct credit risk assessments and viability analysis of proposed and existing investments, including returns projections and credit rating evaluations.

  • Monthly Investment Risk Reports:
    Highlight past and potential risks in monthly Management Investment Committee reports.

  • Limit Setting & Monitoring:
    Set investment benchmarks and thresholds; monitor compliance across the investment function.

  • Incident Reporting:
    Generate risk incident reports when investment limits are breached or operational policies are violated.

  • Macroeconomic Analysis:
    Track both local and global macroeconomic trends to aid investment decisions.

  • Risk Modeling:
    Maintain and develop financial risk models to enhance investment risk management strategies.

Requirements

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Experience:
    At least 5 years of experience in a similar investment risk role.
