Job Description
Financial managers perform data analysis and advise senior managers on profit-maximizing ideas. Financial managers are responsible for the financial health of an organization. They create financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop plans for the long-term financial goals of their organization.
Description
- Monitor day-to-day financial operations.
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting.
- Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk.
- Perform advanced financial analyses to determine the company’s present and forecasted financial health.
- Provide analytical support to the senior management and line managers.
- Prepare financial statements and forecasts to advise top management on how to maximize profits
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Oversee finance department operations, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager
- Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with financial planning software.
- Proficient user of finance software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of accounting principles. Including the evaluation of financial policies, systems, and procedures.
- Ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of the organization.
- Solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes, and system optimization.
- BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Professional qualifications such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
