Taylor Hopkinson has been exclusively engaged by a global IPP to appoint a Director PMO – Offshore Wind as a member of the senior leadership team. As the Director PMO, you will oversee the PMO Department responsible for project planning, risk management, change management, and documentation management for offshore wind farms. You will manage large-scale critical offshore wind farm projects from development to handover to asset management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project-level planning by developing/improving policies, procedures, systems, and tools for planning and time management. Maintain project and resource plans based on project data.
- Establish requirements for suppliers’ planning and progress reporting. Monitor the project’s critical path and assess the impact of proposed changes on the schedule and milestones.
- Establish policies, procedures, systems, and tools for risk and change management. Conduct risk workshops, maintain and update risk and change registers continuously. Develop and implement risk mitigation measures.
- Analyze the relationship between the total risk profile and contingency budget. Assess proposed changes and identify potential impacts.
- Set up and manage a document management system. Establish consistent structures and procedures for handling and securing project documentation.
- Conduct regular quality and compliance checks on documentation. Secure a data room for due diligence purposes and manage physical documentation effectively.
- Compile comprehensive project reports using data from the project and its components. Manage project changes efficiently. Assess proposed changes for potential impacts on various aspects including time, cost, quality, HSE, permitting, risks, and reputation.
- Document and communicate approved changes while updating the change register.
Requirements:
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in planning, risk management, and documentation management, ideally in the offshore wind sector.
- Experience, knowledge, and competence equivalent to IPMA level B/C and/or PMI PMP.
- Strong analytical and holistic approach.
- Excellent leadership skills including integrity, vision/strategy, communication, relationships, persuasiveness, influence, adaptability, teamwork, coaching and development, decision-making, and planning.
- Excellent communication and verbal skills.
- Strong team player and team leader.
- Energetic, active, and sociable.
- Fluent in English (French or German is an additional benefit).
