Chef at BarLaurea, Finland’s most awarded educational restaurant
We are looking for a chef for the Laurea University of Applied Sciences on the Leppävaara campus for an employment relationship valid until August 1, 2025 or by agreement.
In addition to the core tasks of the chef’s job, the position includes guiding restaurant students in the BarLaurea learning environment, which is one of the LivingLabs in restaurant education. Our chef works together with the restaurant manager, catering manager, apprentices and restaurant students. BarLaurea is a Learning by Developing environment, where continuous development of operations is an everyday thing. The chef’s job description is in the customer interface and he is an active player in various networks.
The task is wide-ranging, and we expect a developing and innovative approach from our future chef. The job description requires versatile and solid experience in the restaurant industry, leadership and management skills, an interest in teaching and comprehensive stakeholder networks. In addition to these, we especially value familiarity with responsibility and local and organic food. Students are guided in Finnish and English, so mastering both languages is necessary.

The chef’s salary is between €3400-3700, depending on the experience and education of the selected person. The terms and conditions of the employment relationship are in accordance with the collective agreement of the private teaching sector.
