Receiving Team Member openings are across our first and second shift operations. Starting pay of $17.00 hourly.

General Essential Functions – Receiving Team Member

 

  • Read and follow work instructions, procedures, policies, and complete various forms and reports.
  • Maintain good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptability to changing business needs, and continually learn and apply new skills.
  • Follow safety rules, procedures, guidelines and training given; maintain cleanliness of workstation/house-keeping; maintain good personal hygiene; recognize and report hazards to designated individual(s); participate in safety program(s); report accidents/injuries immediately; practice safe work habits.
  • Communicate well and get along with team members, actively listen, ask questions to understand, provide encouragement, and work safely and collaboratively to support a cooperative and positive team environment.
  • Seek and learn from feedback and be open to suggestions and change. Conversely, provide less proficient team members feedback to assist in their learning.

Specific Essential Functions – Receiving Team Member

Safety

  • Know and follow safety rules at all times.
  • Utilize appropriate safety devices and protective equipment.
  • Identify and communicate individual and/or environmental safety hazards and confront others when violations of safety standards occur.
  • Identify potential individual and/or environmental safety hazards and initiate ways to address.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work environment.
  • Practice safe operation of equipment.
  • Follow ergonomic principles at all times when performing work including safe lifting, correct posture, proper use of tools and equipment, etc.

Quality Control

  • Assess all components for quality control purposes on an ongoing basis throughout the work shift.
  • Make quality decisions according to established standards.
  • Effectively communicate questions and/or problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow appropriate processes, standards, specifications and norms to meet quality expectations in all aspects of work.

Inventory Control

  • Accurately document all necessary information related to inventory control.
  • Effectively communicate questions, discrepancies and/or problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Assess and maintain all components for inventory control purposes on an ongoing basis throughout the work shift.
  • Assist in cycle counts.

Receiving

  • Remove cartons and boxes from delivery vehicles and place in receiving/inspection area.
  • Complete and sort pertinent paperwork such as the Bill of Lading and the Packing List.
  • View and analyze orders to verify and sequence accordingly.
  • Compare actual delivered quantities with number specified in order.
  • Enter data on computer.

Material Handling

  • Distribute incoming materials to their correct inventory locations by printing and locating primary and secondary inventory locations. Supply primary locations first.
  • Ensure that incoming materials are distributed in a timely manner so that materials can be easily accessed and inventory aisles remain clear.
  • Perform inventory control counts.

Quality Inspection of Goods

  • Compare actual delivered orders with specified order quantities.
  • Follow inspection protocol as defined in the department Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Inspect and analyze products to identify defects.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Examine and assess actual products by comparing to drawing specifications.
  • Use small hand tools to verify weight and dimensions.

Special Projects

  • Support other departments as required in their material handling needs.
  • Provide support and serve as a knowledgeable resource to Plant Controller on inventory management projects.

Other Duties – Receiving Team Member

 

  • Deposit light trash.
  • Other duties as assigned.
