Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist global Credit Analyst(s) in cash flow analysis for Structured Finance securities.
  • Prepare cash-flow model for structured finance deals (viz., RMBS, ABS, CLOs, etc.) by comprehending structure/feature of the deal from offering documents, data update and scripting in proprietary platforms and testing the model output for different scenarios.
  • Regular testing and validation of models based on the most recent investor reports, statements published by issuers, servicers and revising the model to be in sync with expected outcome.
  • Build and maintain relationships with onshore Analysts and respective stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast with the latest developments in the structured finance market and understand/ be able to comment on their potential impact.
  • Adopt the defined processes in day-to-day execution of assignments and identify process improvement avenues that lead to value addition to work.
  • Ensure gained knowledge is retained and documented through operating manuals.

The ideal candidate should have solid understanding of:

  • Functioning of bank loans and cash flows from the loans
  • Capital markets and products especially fixed income securities/bonds
  • Financial Risk – credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk
  • Financial Ratios – Profitability, Liquidity, etc
  • Various macroeconomic factors and their impact on capital markets
  • Basics of Credit Ratings
  • English is a must

 

Desired but not mandatory:

  • Candidate having prior experience of working on Structured Finance (Securitized) products
  • Candidate with prior experience of working in a recognized credit rating agency
  • Completed / pursuing professional certifications like CFA / FRM
