Job Description:

We’re currently in search of a talented individual to join our team. We need someone who can blend the roles of project manager and trade marketer seamlessly, and who’s got a knack for strategic thinking. Your primary focus will be on driving visibility and boosting sales across both retail and on-premise distribution channels.

 

The ideal candidate should bring 3-5 years of marketing experience to the table, gained either at an agency or within the CPG industry, along with a solid understanding of trade marketing principles. Reporting to our Head of Marketing, this role will also entail close collaboration with our sales team.

 

Responsibilities:

● Trade Strategy

  • Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to support sales objectives, focusing on retail and distribution channels
  • Assist in the development of annual trade marketing plans to drive brand visibility, engagement, and customer acquisition within key trade channels
  • Track and analyze the performance of trade marketing initiatives, making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in trade marketing, continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement, including competitive analysis
  • Provide input as a key stakeholder in the development of trade marketing collateral and promotional materials
  • Leverage data and insights to build shopper programs through tactics including loyalty, couponing, shopper media, etc.

 

● Project Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment of trade marketing initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Lead project management efforts for trade marketing projects and campaigns, ensuring timely execution and delivery
  • Maintain project status sheets for internal and external parties to ensure the team stays on track with action items and next steps
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, vendors, and agencies to support trade marketing initiatives as needed
  • Coordinate with Public Relations team on trade-related initiatives and opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • Experience in trade marketing, either at an agency or in-house with a CPG brand
  • Proven track record of successful project management in a trade marketing context
  • Analytical and creative mindset when developing trade marketing campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Based in the New York City area

 

BONUS Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in alcohol/beverage trade marketing
  • Previous experience in the startup world
  • Understanding of trade marketing strategies targeted towards diverse audiences
