As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About The Role

The Travel Desk department handles all business travel requests for colleagues from various departments of BYD Europe and BYD Group. You will be responsible for hotel bookings, tickets, invoicing, checking, and improving existing procedures. Travel Desk oversees and monitors business travel costs per department, analyzing booking data, and trying to minimize travel costs for the company.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

 

  • Book business travel requests for all colleagues within various departments by arranging accommodation, air, and transportation bookings in accordance with company regulations and available budgets.
  • Use combination of online booking tools and platforms, email requests as well as phone communications to initiate and resolve all travel requests, exceptions and issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all travel-related questions by handling requests in a kind and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the travel booking budgets and adherence to the guidelines.
  • Enter data in the Travel booking share files, maintain and create accurate colleague accounts and profiles, monitor business travel costs, bookings made as well as other metrics per department and company.
  • Analyse booking data monthly and report findings to management, communicate with department heads as well as employees daily to endorse sustainable travel habits.
  • Follow travel industry trends and implement new procedures and travel solutions.
  • Source new partners for future collaboration opportunities in the travel industry.
  • Follow the determined processes of safety, and environmental instructions.
  • Review procedures and suggest improvement opportunities.

Required Skills, Qualifications And Experience

 

  • 2-3 years of business travel booking experience in a fast-paced and international environment.
  • Tourism-related training, education, and courses.
  • Excellent written & spoken English skills. Dutch and Chinese language skills are a plus.
  • Proactive personality with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Interact with people of various backgrounds and cultures.
  • Able to deliver friendly customer service to all the employees but at the same time not afraid to share constructive feedback by endorsing more sustainable travel habits within the company.
  • Good Excel user skills, able to analyze booking data monthly.
  • Team effort to ensure that all organizational and reservation goals are met in operating smoothly and efficiently.
