Position Highlights:

 

  • Position: Unit Secretary, LDRP
  • Location: Highland Park Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time 32 hours per week
  • Hours: 0700-1530 and 0700-1930, will include weekend rotation
  • Required Travel: n/a

What You Will Need

 

  • License: N/A
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification: N/A
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience required or 1 year of college and 1 year of work experience required
  • Skills: Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required

What You Will Do

 

  • Coordinate non-clinical duties of the nursing unit
  • Enter patient charges in computer
  • Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges
  • Order supplies
  • Customer service to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other support departments
  • Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate
  • Proactively identifies need for service recovery and follow up of resolution
