About the Position
Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its Dubai team. As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in Amazon’s operations, responsible for resolving complex hardware, software, and infrastructure issues, both on-site and remotely.
You will work closely with the IT team, senior management, and business operations to ensure that Amazon’s IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain the IT infrastructure to ensure all equipment and systems operate optimally.

Act as an escalation point for technical issues within the IT support team and liaise with remote support teams.

Work on projects related to infrastructure improvements, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders.

Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met for your site and remote locations supported by your team.

Monitor technology trends and suggest improvements to optimise business and IT requirements.

Provide training and guidance to junior team members and remote support staff.

Travel occasionally to support remote sites.
Required Qualifications
-
Experience: 1-2 years supporting enterprise network hardware (Cisco products preferred).

Skills:
-
Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and Wireless networking.

Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and high availability solutions.

Familiarity with wireless networking challenges, such as coverage and end-user roaming.

Knowledge of copper and fibre data cabling (CAT6, single-mode, multi-mode fibre optics).

Experience with Linux (installations, file systems, text editors, CLI commands, and system administration).

Working knowledge of Microsoft back-office technologies.

Excellent project management and technical task execution skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to resolve complex technical issues.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: AED 8,000 per month (average).

Additional Compensation: AED 5,000 to AED 240,000 in extra cash compensation.
