Job Description.
They seek a self-motivated individual to join our Manufacturing team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician. Your primary responsibility will be building, testing, debugging and packaging their terrestrial, low Earth orbit, and lunar products on the manufacturing floor. Mechanical assembly experience with expertise in mechanical, fluids, and electrical properties is crucial. Additionally, teamwork and familiarity with engineering drawings will be critical as you work with their engineering and manufacturing teams to execute the company’s objectives and production targets.
Responsibilities.
- Assembly and test of sub-assemblies combining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems.
- Assembly of the complete product following the working instructions and plans.
- Perform in-process controls throughout the assembly process.
- Propose improvements to product design to facilitate manufacturing, as well as manufacturing instructions and processes.
- Collaborates closely with engineers from the Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Systems departments.
Requirements.
- Holder of a diploma in the field of automation, poly-mechanics, or equivalent sector (CFC, ES technician, BTS …).
- Proven experience in assembling mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and fluidic systems of at least 7 years.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and operate cranes or forklifts for heavier loads.
- Knowledge of the use of machining and 3D printing tools is a plus.
- Good command of technical English.
- Knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
- Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations.
