RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with the farming manager to implement effective growing practices.
• Innovate and experiment with new techniques to enhance plant quality.
• Monitor crops for pests and diseases, implementing sustainable control methods.
• Design and manage fertilizer programs for optimal crop nutrition.
• Maintain technical records and ensure certification requirements are met.
• Support the planning process to create a clear work strategy for each crop weekly.
• Connect with growers regularly to gather feedback and improve nursery services.
CANDIDATE PROFILEQualifications: Education & Training:
• Pre-Graduate or Master’s Degree in Agronomic Engineering.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of horticulture experience, preferably with berry crops, irrigation systems, and substrate production.
• Experience with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with long canes production is an asset.
Skills & Behaviors:
• Navigate a large farming operation effectively.
• Proficient in computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Customer-oriented with a service mindset.
• Relationship-building skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
Additional Requirements:
• Valid passport for occasional regional and international travel (5-10% of the time).
• Valid European driver’s license.
• Flexibility in working hours when necessary.
