Description:
As an Area Sales Manager at Unilever Nigeria, you will be responsible for leading and growing sales within a specific region. You’ll work closely with distributors, manage a team of sales representatives, and ensure Unilever’s products are available, visible, and well-distributed in stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive both primary and secondary sales targets in your area.

  • Coach and guide Territory Managers and distributor teams to improve performance.

  • Ensure proper distribution, product visibility, and promotion execution across stores.

  • Monitor trade activities, in-store execution, and merchandising standards.

  • Manage distributor performance, stock levels, claims, and financial targets.

  • Collect market intelligence and competitor insights to support strategy.

Success Measures:

  • Sales growth and coverage

  • Distributor profitability

  • Product availability and visibility

  • Store execution and trade activation results

  • Team capability development

Required Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, distribution, or channel management.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills

  • Good business knowledge, problem-solving ability, and high integrity
