WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As an Assurance Assistant, you will review, including substantive testing or other assessment and analysis as defined in the FCC Assurance Framework and Methodology on FCC function, processes and systems and controls such us, but not limited to:

1. Assisting with designing and implementing the Financial Crime testing and assurance program.
2. Review of FCC Policies, Standards and Procedures, including FCC Risk Assessments, Client Due Diligence and Know Your Customer and Customer Risk Rating, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Controls, Anti-Tax Evasion/Avoidance measures (Corporate Criminal Offence).
3. Review and substantive testing of FCC systems and Controls.
4. Drive execution of multiple concurrent reviews, including subsequent management reporting related to review outcomes and findings.
5. Articulate findings and finalize issues with the stakeholders, assist in drafting qualitative FCC Assurance reports and track recommendations as appropriate.
6. Accountable for timely completion of fieldwork and delivery of FCC Assurance reviews, timely escalations and delivery of FCC Assurance reviews, and timely escalations of any roadblocks.
7. Assist in preparation of dashboard, management information and analysis to relevant stakeholders and committees.
8. Challenging colleagues to build an efficient word class risk management controls and processes.
9. Identify actionable insights which result in material enhancements to the control environment.

EXPERIENCE

• Should be an associated assurance expert with approximately 5 years of experience across the core competencies required for the role.

EDUCATION

• Applicable ICA qualification would be preferred

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

1. The Spanish language preferred
2. Must have the majority of experience in the banking industry and preferably at a Top Tier Bank within the CIB environment
3. Help the Head of FCC CIB/Boadilla to determine the top priorities for assurance and to deliver against these.
4. Capable of delivering the outcome of the assurance plan within pre-determined timelines
5. Highly organized, self-starter with minimal supervision
6. Detail orientated
7. Proven experience in defining and engaging with internal stakeholders and being capable of influencing the right outcomes for the organization
