PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Within IVG Group Procurement – Indirect team, the resource will be responsible for managing a complete product line in terms of both operative and strategical tasks.
This includes:
- Suppliers selection and sourcing for assigned product lines. This includes RFQ activity, analysis of supplier responses and quotes and placing blanket purchase orders;
- Leading and facilitation of pricing negotiations and contract discussions, dealing with all the Company Departments needed to fulfill the targets;
- Develop / implement supply base management strategies both regionally and globally that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, and pricing;
- Support cost savings initiatives for sourcing area base;
- Support special projects as necessary.
- Support and resolve supplier issues such as accounts payable resolution, past due deliveries, and risks related to production lines and aftermarket customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- (preferred) Mechanical Engineering degree or similar degree
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate as an effective team member
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- SAP knowledge (preferred)
