Carlcare Development Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, is a leading provider of after-sales service for mobile devices and appliances across Africa. We are currently seeking a talented Chinese Translator to support our Human Resources Department in Lagos.

Job Description:

We are looking for a fluent Chinese-speaking candidate to join our team as a Chinese Translator. This is a full-time on-site position, ideal for someone who is passionate about languages, cultural understanding, and communication. You will work closely with our HR department to provide day-to-day translation and interpretation between English and Chinese, helping bridge communication gaps and ensuring cultural alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written materials from English to Chinese and vice versa.

  • Interpret conversations during meetings and HR-related activities.

  • Ensure translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and culturally sensitive.

  • Assist in drafting bilingual documents, emails, and internal communications.

  • Support cross-cultural communication within the company.

  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and understanding.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Fluency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken) is required.

  • Excellent translation and interpretation skills.

  • Keen attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Strong knowledge of Chinese culture and etiquette.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Prior experience in translation or a related field is an advantage.

  • A Bachelorā€™s degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field is preferred.
