Job Summary
The Coating Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all surface preparation, painting, and coating activities on-site to protect pipelines, structures, and equipment from corrosion and environmental damage. This role ensures compliance with approved work packs, supervises contractor performance, and resolves SIMOPS-related issues during execution.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily toolbox talks and site briefings to set priorities and ensure safety.

Supervise surface preparation methods and verify proper material application.

Ensure correct coating systems (e.g., epoxy, zinc, polyurethane) are applied per specifications.

Monitor hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal.

Track material usage, control wastage, and coordinate timely reordering.

Validate coating quality via DFT measurement, adhesion testing, and curing verification.

Identify and correct defects or non-conformities in coating applications.

Supervise contractor teams and ensure projects stay on schedule and specification.
Requirements

HND or B.Sc. in Engineering or Sciences.

NACE or SSPC (CIP Level 1, 2, or 3) certification is a strong advantage.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial coating, corrosion protection, and supervision in oil & gas or related industries.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting.

Good knowledge of international coating standards and application techniques.
