🔍 Job Summary
We are hiring a Compliance Officer to lead compliance operations in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and ready to work hands-on, ensuring regulatory adherence across multiple jurisdictions, managing onboarding, AML/CFT monitoring, and supporting broader compliance infrastructure.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Manage onboarding workflows (KYC, KYB, CIP, EDD) using manual + automated tools

Monitor accounts & transactions for AML / CFT / CPF, sanctions, adverse media, and ToS violations

Lead data privacy compliance and manage cross-border data flows

Conduct due diligence and re-certification for merchants and partners

File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and maintain SLAs

Support Chief Compliance Officer in developing KPIs, reports, and board insights

Improve compliance tools and processes in a fast-scaling environment

Serve as first line of defense – triage, investigate, escalate high-risk cases
✅ Requirements

7+ years experience in Compliance Risk Management (payments or financial services)

Strong knowledge of FATF guidelines and multi-jurisdiction compliance rules

Experience in AML/CFT monitoring, sanctions screening, and investigations

Certification: CAMS, CFE, or any globally recognized compliance cert (or in progress)

Deep understanding of KYC/KYB/EDD processes

Fluent in English with excellent communication skills

Experience in startup or high-growth environments is a plus
