Expro Group are currently recruiting for a DAQ Workshop Technician to join the Well Testing & Commissioning team based in Tananger.
Overall Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will be required to maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of oil field service equipment. There will be a requirement to work as part of the maintenance team in order to carry out daily tasks in a safe and timely manner ensuring full traceability for the work undertaken. Primarily the workshop work is related to calibration, function testing, preparation and assembly of electronics for the Data Acquisition System (DAQ). Sporadically offshore travel to be expected.
This role would suit candidates who have recently graduated or are looking to take their first steps into a technical based role.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- To ensure that all workshop activities are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure that all Quality Assurance and Safety procedures are followed, at all times.
- Inspection, calibration, and function testing of DAQ system
- Preparation and packing of equipment for shipping offshore
- Contribute to continuous development and improved service quality
- Sporadically offshore work to be expected
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Automation, electronics, electrical or mechatronics experience or education
- Possess a good understanding of the equipment and a mechanical understanding
- Excellent Computer skills
- Self-motivated and team worker
- Good communication skills
- Good listener with a willingness to keep an open mind.
- Fluent verbal and writing skills in Norwegian
- Well organised and able to work as part of a team
- Medical and offshore survival training preferred
- PLC experience preferred
- Familiar with EX and EXi components and regulations an advantage
