Company Description

The Energy Analytics Manager leads our Energy Analytics program, managing a team of two Analysts with the mandate of ensuring accuracy.

Energy Analytics Manager insightful reporting to meet our energy targets and accurately forecast utility spending for an extensive portfolio of commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Led the development of budget, forecast and variance analysis processes
• Audit billing variances for monthly reporting and data validation.
• Complete Budget & Reforecast twice annually. They are prepared by developing a base forecasted budget and overseeing the entire team’s participation for review and adjustments, including weather, pricing and other variables.
• Review accruals after the period close
• Manage the utility bill administration program to ensure that consumption and spending are tracked accurately for energy management
• Responsible for governance and program management of our third-party utility bill
• Weather Normalized Energy Monitoring and Trending
• Measurement and Verification Reporting (IPMVP Option C)
• Energy Performance Reporting
• Demand Curtailment Reports and GHG Reporting

Minimum Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering, Building Science, Environmental Studies, Commerce or a related field
• 3 to 5 years experience in Energy Analytics or Energy Management
• Advanced Excel skills with knowledge of formulas and pivot tables
• Understanding of the energy market, rate class programs and demand curtailment.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting to large groups
• Strong background in statistics with a background in regression analysis is an asset
• Advanced skills in Tableau or other Business Intelligence Software are an asset.
