WHAT TO EXPECT

When you join as an engineer in engine castings, you’ll be joining an energetic team that drives toward JLR’s vision to be the benchmark for quality in the luxury sector. Using your developed skills and knowledge, while being supported by senior engineers, you will coordinate the design, development, testing, and introduction of new systems, components, and commodities within the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) family.
You will resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets and ensure that all appropriate JLR standards are met throughout design maturation for various components, including the oil sump, cam carrier, windage tray, and cast brackets.
In this role, you will also:
- Manage test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off and support engineering test teams with rectification of issues.
- Ensure all appropriate JLR standards are met throughout design maturation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
You will deliver the commodity plan according to quality, cost, weight, and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System. You will own and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- Experience working on ICE components
- Knowledge of ICE system design
- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience
Salary
- From GBP 35000.0 to 47000.0 per year
