Job Description
OLT Farms Ltd, a sustainably managed oil palm and plantain plantation in Ogun State, is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Farm Manager to oversee its day-to-day operations. This live-in position requires a strong leader with technical expertise in plantation management and a proven ability to drive productivity and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Plantation Management

Oversee agronomic activities including planting, fertilization, pruning, weeding, irrigation, and harvesting

Monitor plant health and implement integrated pest and disease management

Optimize intercropping systems to increase yield and efficiency
Labor Supervision
-
Lead and manage supervisors and farm workers

Coordinate recruitment, training, and task delegation

Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
Operations & Logistics

Manage farm inputs, equipment use, and maintenance

Oversee infrastructure including machinery, irrigation systems, roads, and buildings

Ensure timely execution of all field activities
Financial Oversight

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and production cost analysis

Maintain accurate records on inputs, outputs, and inventories

Submit regular operational and performance reports to farm owners
Infrastructure & Processing

Support setup and management of on-site oil palm processing units

Coordinate harvest logistics and transportation of fresh fruit bunches (FFBs)
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Agriculture or a related field

5–7 years of hands-on management experience in medium-to-large scale commercial farming (preferably oil palm and/or plantain)

Familiarity with intercropping systems and labor-intensive agriculture
Skills & Traits

Expertise in tropical crop production, irrigation, and soil management

Proficiency with agrochemical applications and farm machinery

Strong budgeting, inventory, and reporting capabilities

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Willingness to live full-time in a rural setting
