I am delighted to be exclusively retained to partner with this global food and beverages company in finding their new Finance Director in the Amsterdam Area.
The Finance Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for the business, working in partnership with the leadership team to deliver their long-term strategic plan.
For the right Finance director, there will be an opportunity to work closely with the VP of finance, a chance to be activity involved with the hands-on activity. There is also a competitive salary along with bonus and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the VP Finance, International
- Collaborate with the GM and leadership team to create and execute a 3-year strategic plan for continuous revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Manage the financial performance of the business in alignment with the annual budget in close coordination with the leadership team.
- Take charge of the annual financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Lead the Finance team, ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to the executive team through clear and precise written and verbal presentations.
- Initiate and drive endeavours aimed at enhancing the overall profitability of the business.
- Develop business cases for strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring the delivery of financial commitments.
- Establish a comprehensive set of metrics and analytics to accurately represent business performance, including direct-to-consumer KPIs for monitoring and driving the business.
- Collaborate with the European Accounting team to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of financial statements; support the group and statutory financial audit process as necessary.
- Drive the continuous development and enhancement of systems, processes, and procedures to improve analysis, reporting, and decision-support; deliver bespoke financial information and guidance for key strategic and operational decisions.
About You
- Degree or equivalent, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience as a finance leader in CPG/FMCG
- Direct-to-Consumer experience preferred. (e-commerce and retail)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP
- Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus
