Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos is an independent power producer with generating plants across Nigeria, including Sagamu, Lekki Free Zone, Edo State, and Lagos-Benin bypass. COEL handles power projects from development to operations and maintenance.
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. This person will manage financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, tax matters, and guide financial decision-making to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily finance/accounting operations

Prepare accurate monthly and statutory financial reports

Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax laws

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Handle tax planning, audits, payroll, and treasury

Improve systems, reduce costs, and drive financial efficiency

Liaise with regulatory bodies (FIRS, LIRS, OGIR, etc.)

Monitor expenses and present financial insights

Supervise banking and funding arrangements

Review and update finance policies

Support strategic business decisions with financial insights
Requirements:

BSc or HND in Accounting (2.1 or Upper Credit minimum)

ICAN (ACA) certification is required
-
Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience (5 years in a similar role)

Strong audit and tax management background

Proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and ERP systems

Good understanding of tax laws, forex, treasury, capital financing, and IFRS
-
Industry experience in power, energy, or oil & gas is essential

Must be below 50 years of age
