About the Role:
PayInvert is seeking a Finance Officer who is analytical, meticulous, and strategically sound to manage its core financial functions. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, tax management, and possibly investment analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting:

Maintain accurate general ledger and close books monthly/quarterly

Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements

Support external audits and provide necessary documentation
Tax & Compliance:

Timely remittance and filing of VAT, PAYE, WHT, Corporate Tax

Ensure compliance with CBN, FIRS, and regulatory requirements

Handle reports for financial regulators and audits
Investment & Financial Modelling (Preferred):

Assist in evaluating investment opportunities through modelling and ROI analysis

Support internal capital deployment and investor documentation
Budgeting & Financial Planning:

Collaborate on annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Monitor performance and provide variance analysis
Cash Flow & Treasury:

Track cash flow and manage liquidity

Maintain banking relationships and monitor fund utilization
Internal Controls & Risk:

Ensure strong internal controls, conduct reconciliations
-
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigations
Requirements:
Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
3β5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or corporate finance
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
Sound knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax frameworks
Bonus: Experience in investment banking or capital markets
