About the Company:

Our client is a leading luxury fashion house with offices in NY and NJ! They are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the company and will have a critical impact on the continued growth and profitability of their renowned brand!!

**Candidate MUST have experience in the retail/CPG industry!

Responsibilities:

  • Generated comprehensive sales and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and year-to-date basis, ensuring accurate tracking of performance metrics.
  • Prepared and communicated daily breakdowns of monthly sales targets for both store locations and headquarters, enabling proactive planning and strategizing.
  • Proactively analyzed various retail KPIs, including conversion rates, foot traffic, product category performance, customer satisfaction, and units per transaction (UPT), providing detailed explanations for any variances observed to the management team.
  • Conducted ad hoc analyses, such as evaluating productivity per square foot, validating store expansion feasibility, benchmarking point-of-sale (POS) performance against competitors, and refining traffic count methodologies to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborated closely with senior analysts to reforecast sales projections, ensuring alignment with landing objectives and maximizing overall potential.
  • Supported the monthly, semi-annual, and year-end closing processes, including the meticulous preparation of reports detailing retail sales by category and country, and facilitating seamless sales reconciliation across multiple systems (RDM, Epicor, NSB).
  • Played a vital role in compiling budget holder reports, encompassing store expenses, travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses, and security expenditures, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
  • Assisted in the preparation of budget and forecast submissions, contributing to the strategic financial planning of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in similar role in luxury fashion industry
  • Technical skills (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • HFM and SAP experience a plus
  • Possess a high level or accuracy and attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial approach to assess and proactively improve existing processes with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
