We have an exciting opportunity available for someone to lead our NZ sales team here at Beiersdorf!

THE ROLE

In this role, you will be leading our New Zealand Beiersdorf Business, especially coaching and supporting the Sales team in order to achieve business sales, profit, margin and market share objectives.

Role is part of the ANZ Sales Leadership Team.

Some of the responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Develop a strategic Country and Channel business plan for NZ, with short, medium, and long-term vision for the channel.
  • Ensure major customer business plans are reflective of and adhere to Country and Channel strategy.
  • Identify areas for fixed cost savings and efficiencies within function and channels and make recommendations.
  • Establish standards and expectations for direct reports (x3) and broader business NZ team (x10).
  • Actively develop direct reports through positive leadership principles.
  • Formulate monthly objectives in conjunction with General Manager Sales, direct reports and business targets.
  • Oversee account proposals for distribution and forecasts for NPD initiatives and ensure they meet KPI’s.
  • Oversee and coach direct reports on use of Trade Funds tool and promotional effectiveness.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Business or Commerce degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in FMCG.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Account Management.
  • Experience in dealing at Head Office level with all major accounts: WW NZ, Foodstuffs, Pharmacy channel.
  • Must be able to demonstrate successful leadership and development of team of direct reports.
  • Exposure and understanding of FMCG market data e.g., Nielsen/Aztec.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong constructive leadership.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced computing skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Lateral thinker and solution driven.
