Job Description

Responsibilities
- Be the primary point of contact for linguistic decisions related to Japanese content.
- Ensure that terminology and style are relevant and appropriate for the target personas in the Japanese-speaking market, both in terms of culture and technology adoption/market maturity
- Work with the product team to ensure that Japanese-speaking customers have a remarkable experience using the localized version of the product in Japanese.
- Review translated content from agencies and partners
- Translate English content into Japanese / Japanese content to English as needed
- Support the localization team with a selection of relevant tools and technology
Requirements
- Native Japanese and Fluent English
- Experience translating marketing and technology-related content
- Detail-oriented, with a passion for linguistic quality
- Samples of past translation work
- Samples of writing styles in Japanese
- Proven editing and proofreading skills
- An outstanding communicator, articulate, fluid conversationalist
- Analytical mindset, problem solver, good at troubleshooting
