Role Summary
The Investment Risk Officer supports the Head of Risk Management by overseeing market risk management for the company’s primary Retirement Savings Accounts (RSA Funds I – V) and managing other investment risk practices related to the company’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare the investment section of the quarterly Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) Risk Report, highlighting significant risks and performance issues.

Maintain a quarterly Risk/Performance Dashboard covering fund performance, operational risk, and information security.

Conduct investment appraisals assessing viability and risk through credit risk analysis, return projections, and credit rating reviews.

Perform periodic risk assessments of existing investments to ensure continued viability.

Prepare monthly Management Investment Committee Risk Reports highlighting key and potential risks.

Set and monitor investment risk benchmarks and thresholds guiding investment activities.

Raise Investment Risk Incident reports on risk events or breaches by the investment department.

Track relevant local and foreign macroeconomic trends for risk analysis.

Maintain, update, and develop investment and market risk models for risk function analysis.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in investment risk management or related functions.

Knowledge of IFRS, ISA, Corporate Finance, Data Analysis, International Trade, Financial Markets, and Products.
