As a senior Technical Surveyor, you’ll provide expertise to our marine, technical, and engineering departments. This role involves representing the client during on-site and offshore operations, contributing to client relationship maintenance, business development, and tender preparation.

Some Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical marine suitability surveys and marine assurance inspections on various vessels and rigs, both DP and non-DP, onshore and offshore.
  • Act as an independent competent person (ICP) for jack-up barge and lift-boat audits, adhering to ADNOC Offshore standards, particularly JUIMS requirements.
  • Attend jack-up barges and lift-boats for jacking trials, technical incident investigations, and third-party verification of system repairs.
  • Perform DP marine assurance activities, including annual DP trials, FMEA and FMECAs, and technical DP incident investigations.
  • Prepare technical documents such as FMEA, DP gap analysis, DP operations manuals, CAMO, and ASOG.
  • Represent clients as a technical marine representative or marine warranty surveyor (MWS) both onshore and offshore.

Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

  • STCW III/2 Chief Engineer’s (unlimited) certificate of Competency.
  • Experience with technical marine inspections of jack-up barges and lift boats.
  • Senior/management-level understanding of rig/barge operations.
  • IMCA eCMID and OCIMF OVID accreditation.
  • IMCA DP practitioner accreditation.
  • Valid offshore medicals, BOSIET, H2S, ENG1, and STCW certification.
  • Proficiency in report writing and client-facing communication.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, maritime legislation, and client guidance.
