Our team of Business Local Advisors provides free support and training to small businesses and start-ups in the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid West, and Wheatbelt regions.
About the opportunity:
Our local small business advisors provide free advice, training, and connections to potential and existing small business operators on all aspects of running a small business, including planning, sales and marketing, financial management, HR, business systems, and more.
Based in Geraldton, the Business Local Marketing Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the delivery of our Business Local service across our service regions.
Marketing
- Implement the RSM – Business Local annual marketing plan, which is developed collaboratively by the advisory team;
- Coordinate Business Local email marketing, including monthly newsletter using MailChimp;
- Coordinate online presence of RSM – Business Local across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and website;
- Produce marketing content for events, social media, and promotional campaigns using Canva.
Advisory and support services
- Assist Business Advisors in service delivery of one-to-one and one-to-many advisory services to the Pilbara,
- Midwest/Gascoyne; and Wheatbelt regions:
- Monitor and answer incoming 1800 calls and Facebook messages;
- Coordinate one-to-many sessions, including workshops, presentations, and other group sessions.
The Successful Applicant:
- Demonstrated experience marketing an organization or event;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong knowledge of digital communication technologies;
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team; and,
- A commitment to continuous improvement through professional development and attendance at professional development days organized by RSM and the Small Business Development Corporation
- Ideally has formal qualifications in a Marketing discipline
