Footbridge Medical Receptionists are the face of our Center to our patients and physicians; they portray a welcoming and professional approach when dealing with patients, coworkers, physicians and the general public.

This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.

This position requires a cheerful, bright, polite individual who is always eager to help and thrives in a busy work environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone,
  2. Looks for opportunities to provide exemplary patient care and exceed patient’s expectations,
  3. Answers and routes incoming telephone calls politely and cheerfully,
  4. Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information,
  5. Schedules patient appointments,
  6. Collects private payments and issues receipts to patients,
  7. Facilitates patient flow by notifying Patient Care Coordinators of patients’ arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff,
  8. Keeps the reception area clean and organized,
  9. Performs basic accounting tasks, and generates administrative reports,
  10. Supports the Patient Care Coordinators in other administrative duties and tasks where needed.

Skills

  1. Phenomenal multi-tasker,
  2. Outstanding organizational and customer service skills,
  3. Excellent English communication skills: grammar as well as spoken English,
  4. A team player capable of interacting professionally with staff and physicians,
  5. Skilled in using Microsoft Office,
  6. Experience generating accounting reports is considered an asset,
  7. Minimum education: high school diploma.
  8. Experience using an Electronic Medical Records system is an asset.
