Middle-Back Office Application Support /DevOps Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Middle and Back Office Operations users on BAU queries/issues related to Post Trade
• validation, processing and confirmation applications
• Guide the junior members on best practices in the Production Support area and align to the larger DevOps model for the MOBO IT Team
• Work on automation/efficiency/optimizations tasks and deliver measurable KPIs
• Managing Service Requests, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management.
• Manage Weekend Releases
• Provide root cause analysis for issues related to the application and work closely with development teams on fixing issues/bugs and planning enhancement.
• Participate and manage events which impact Middle and Back Office application stack – like Datacenter BCP rehearsals, Market-driven events etc.
• Ensuring KEDB and Knowledge Repository up to date.
• Reporting for Monthly Governance, Audit, BAU status reporting, or market event-driven reporting

Requirements

• Production Support experience in an Investment Bank, preferably in the Post Trade area
• Proven hands-on experience in supporting Java-based applications, SQL, Linux and CI/CD

• Strong common Linux commands (e.g. grep, sed)
• Experience in IT Service Management practices like Issue communication/incident management/change management
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT messages
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure/multi-tasking
• Knowhow of DevOps stacks like Git, Bamboo, and Jenkins.

• Experience in working with a global team and follow-the-sun support model
• Effective communication skills, able to abstract complex technical concepts and translate the impact to non-technical stakeholders
• Good team player. Capable of working in a fast pace and dynamic environment
• A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact on the business
