Job Description.
At The Cadogan, we are looking for a personable and dynamic Night Chef to deliver great dishes to their guests from the Night In Room Dining Menu, assist the kitchen with prepping or the following shifts, and ensure the levels of cleanliness are up to the highest standards.
Responsibilities.
- To show alertness, vigilance and attention to detail in all work.
- Prepare food daily, according to the business requirements, whatever the demand, and ensure everything is done to the highest possible standard.
- Follow recipes using the recipe pack at all times and check standard recipes for all dishes, ensuring uniformity of taste, quality and proper portion control.
- Ensure a professional handover, giving as much information as possible: orders, problems.
- Ensure that you follow strict examples of personal hygiene
- To undertake the tasks given, whatever the size or urgency, complexity or simplicity, with the same sense of dedication and professionalism.
- Ensure that work is being conducted safely and that apparatus is used correctly and in keeping with health and safety regulations.
- To be aware and observe the legal requirements of the Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH, ensuring their implementation into the daily working practices.
- To follow the daily cleaning schedule of the kitchen.
- Report any sickness immediately to a senior chef.
- Attend training to uphold the conditions of the health and safety policies.
- To assist with maintaining the LQA standards within the Hotel.
- To undertake any reasonable requests made of you by the company, including flexibility in hours, location and responsibilities.
- Be willing to help wherever possible and understand the flexibility required when business levels peak and trough to deliver the best possible service.
- Ensure that all statutory regulations are observed and that all learning and development comply with these requirements.
- To comply with all security and maintenance measures to protect guests and company property.
- To comply with all policies and procedures as written in the employee handbook.
- Work with other members of the team and respect their problems and pressures.
