We currently have a brand new opportunity for a Registered Psychologist to join our Disability Employment Services team.

Working in partnership with key stakeholders, this role capitalise on your influencing skills and building our internal allied health services offering.

Job Description

Psychologists have a diverse and role, offering opportunity to assist clients who have complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking a variety of therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and, providing recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services.

Key duties of the role will include:

1. Conduct thorough assessments of clients with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment;
2. Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
3. Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
4. Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases;
5. Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates; and
6. Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.

Qualifications

Your proven ability to achieve and exceed performance indicators will be complemented by your:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology with eligibility for full registration with AHPRA;
• Experience working within employment services highly regarded;
• Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies;
• Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills and engagement;
• Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
• Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
• Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children’s Check
