The Opportunity:

We are currently looking to engage a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Building Structures group in our Adelaide office. This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership group, riding the wave of success with a team that is delivering some of the largest and most complex building projects in the State. We are happy to offer domestic relocation assistance if required.

The day-to-day:

• Managing ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
• Delivering our current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards and within time constraints and cost budgets;
• Working in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across design management, superintendence, and site surveillance;
• Delegating and supervising the work of junior engineers and;
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

Your profile:

1. Bachelor of Civil Engineering;
2. 5 to 8+ years’ industry experience on Australian civil engineering projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
3. Well-versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging and scale and sector, e.g., commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions, and infrastructure/roads;
4. Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
5. Capacity to lead, train, and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
6. Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills;
7. Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC, etc.)
8. Proficiency with 12D and Civil 3D (desirable but not essential) and;
9. Drainage software experience knowledge preferred.
