🌟 Role Overview

As Senior/Lead Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of Mavin’s growth—driving revenue, closing strategic partnerships, and shaping the future of African music. You’ll lead a high-performing team, work closely with executives, and identify new revenue streams across entertainment, media, and tech sectors.


🚀 Key Responsibilities

📈 Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute revenue-generating business strategies

  • Identify new revenue channels (licensing, sponsorships, branded content)

  • Analyze market trends to inform Mavin’s growth direction

🤝 Strategic Partnerships & Deals

  • Identify and negotiate high-value partnerships with top brands and platforms

  • Lead business pitches, proposals, and revenue-generating presentations

  • Collaborate with legal/finance to finalize profitable deal structures

🎯 Sales & Team Leadership

  • Drive sales growth and build a strong business development pipeline

  • Mentor and lead junior team members

  • Represent Mavin at major entertainment and media events

📊 Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain CRM and performance tracking systems

  • Provide regular updates on sales, partnerships, and forecasts

  • Develop detailed business proposals and feasibility studies


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Finance (MBA preferred)

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or media/tech sales

  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals

  • Strong industry knowledge: licensing, digital media, sponsorships

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Data-driven mindset and excellent multitasking ability
