Job duties
Malmö city elementary schools need you with experience and solid knowledge who want to give that little extra to contribute to the best school in Malmö for every student. It is therefore possible to combine part of your pension with work as a substitute in our primary schools. As a substitute, you are responsible for teaching when regular teachers are not on site. You lead the class and capture the students’ interest in learning. You contribute to a good learning and working environment and create good relationships with students, colleagues and guardians.
As a senior teacher, you are booked in for short-term substitutes in primary schools, pre-school classes, special schools and leisure centers. There is also the possibility of temporary work at a school for a longer period and work on a specific assignment based on the school’s needs. As a temporary worker, you specify which days and times you are available to work. As we have activities from F-9, it is possible to choose for which grades you want to substitute. As a teacher in the substitute bank, you are expected to be able to teach all subjects for the grades for which you substitute.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who is a certified primary school teacher. You have previous experience of working as a teacher and have retired.
You have an interest in working with children and young people, are pedagogical and have the ability to lead the teaching. As a person, you are flexible, responsible and proactive. You are relationship-building and collaborate with students, guardians and colleagues. You have the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, stable and controlled manner.
In addition to work as a substitute, there may also be the possibility of limited and temporary assignments based on the needs of the schools, your competence and your interest.
A basic requirement for being allowed to work in educational activities is an approved extract from the police’s crime register. Due to periodically long processing times, we recommend that you apply for the statement immediately in order to apply for the position.
