Job Description.
They Are looking for a software engineer with a good understanding of application scripting, test automation, and a good sense of software craftsmanship. You will be part of a small team developing state-of-the-art 3D content creation software in an agile environment. Their team will closely collaborate with Adobe’s UX design and research teams to turn groundbreaking ideas and technologies into powerful features in Adobe Substance 3D Painter.
Responsibilities.
- Develop, design, and maintain the Substance 3D Painter test automation pipeline in collaboration with the IT team that provides and maintains the infrastructures.
- Help other developers and QA automate Substance 3D Painter features testing.
- Develop, design, and maintain the Substance 3D Painter Python scripting API (and documentation) in collaboration with other developers, UX designers, and product owners.
- Analyze and understand customer needs.
- Investigate/fix bugs and performance issues.
- Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback during code reviews.
- Respond to code reviews and welcome questions and constructive feedback.
- Participate in sprint planning.
Requirements.
- Experience writing automated tests (experience with Python unit test library a plus).
- Experience with software automation and CI pipelines (experience with Jenkins is a plus).
- Good background in Python and Python library design.
- Experience extending Python with C and C++ (knowledge of Pybind11 a plus).
- Good design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer science fundamentals.
- Comfortable with agile development principles.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other developers, QA, UX designers, and product managers.
- Comfortable working with large products and codebases.
- Ability to learn new technologies and maintain a high degree of technical involvement.
- Willingness to learn in-depth usage of Substance 3D Painter.
- Video game and/or animation asset production pipeline and tools are a plus.
- Experience with Qt, PySide2, and Sphinx python documentation generator is a plus.
Salary: The average salary for a Senior Software Engineer in France is €56616.
