Position Overview:

They are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Vice President of Commercial. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Commercial will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and establishing strategic partnerships to accelerate the adoption of our innovative battery materials globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives in alignment with company goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing commercial team, including sales, marketing, business development, and customer success, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Identify and prioritize key target markets, customer segments, and strategic accounts to maximize sales opportunities and market penetration.
  • Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs, battery manufacturers, technology partners, and other stakeholders to drive business development initiatives and expand our market reach.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives and alignment with product development and manufacturing timelines.
  • Drive product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans to effectively communicate our value proposition and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify emerging opportunities, anticipate industry shifts, and inform product roadmap decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and scaling commercial operations within battery materials, energy storage, or related industries.
  • OEM experience working with large car manufacturers, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) space, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the EV battery market or related fields would be advantageous.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Strong leadership presence, with demonstrated experience in building, motivating, and developing high-performing commercial teams.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, navigate complex business challenges, and deliver results in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
  • Passion for sustainability, clean energy, and driving positive impact through innovative technology solutions.
