About us
We are looking for a Wind Engineer construction for a large-scale developer with 35+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector. As a developer, operator, and investor, the company focuses on solar PV, wind, hydrogen and storage. They are developing a pipeline of >15 GW(p). The company has several offices across Europe, including Spain, France or Germany.
Mission
The mission of the Wind Engineer Construction (WEC) role is to oversee procurement processes, review wind farm layouts and designs, and provide technical support to ensure successful implementation and operation of wind energy projects.
Profile
The Wind Engineer Construction (WEC), reporting to the Head of Wind Department, has the task to:
- Support in procurement, ie prepare of Requests for Proposals, analyze offers, suggest shortlist and negotiate contracts in close cooperation with the Head of Implementation, among others: Studies needed as the basis for design works
- Design works
- Balance of plant works, roads, foundations, cabling, etc.
- Supply and installation of main equipment, wind turbine generators, power transformers, etc.
- Service contracts
- Review wind farm layouts, bill of quantities, the civil and electrical design generated in the course of permitting (pre-design, building design), before tendering of works, during implementation (execution design), and the final as-built design.
- Providing technical information and cost estimates to the Financial Department for financial simulations.
- Support of the Financial Department in technical aspects of Due Diligences conducted by third party Financial Institutions
Required Skills
- Degree / master in engineering (eg civil or electrical engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the wind business or related construction activities
- Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and basic CAD knowledge
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts would be an advantage
- Languages: English fluently, additional language skills appreciated
