SummarySeparation Workstream Technical Leader – Enterprise Architect will provide leadership on the architecture and design for the DT solutions related to assigned products about the separation of Energy Businesses from GE Corporate.Primarily responsible for architecture and design of the platforms and associated ecosystems required by the Energy portfolio businesses as they separate from GE Corporate.The role involves leading, consulting, or overseeing multiple architecture engagements as a technical expert while working lock-in step with the Energy and GE Corporate Separation Workstream PMO leader, Technical Project Managers, and business stakeholders.Responsible for enterprise architectureas a subject matter expert and enterprise-wide initiatives that require in-depth domain knowledge in multiple specialized architecture areas.Expected minimum experience to demonstrate competency of 7 years with a minimum of 15 years overall experience, with skills recognized and leveraged as an expert inside GE.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the assigned product technology and business discussions relative to architecture direction to support the separation requirements.
  • Analyze, design, and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state. Own the design deliverables for assigned areas of work.
  • Manage involvement of other SMEs (e.g., Applications, Infrastructure, Cyber, Sourcing & Contracts, etc.) and make sure their design contributions meet system architecture requirements.
  • Engage throughout the entire lifecycle of projects and provide feedback on architecture, design, and functionality while working closely with team members.
  • Closely aligned with the Separation Workstream PMO Leader to ensure that projects meet all Separation PMO standards.
  • Leads and coordinates the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction across multiple teams or complex product line
  • Influences leadership (EB+) and drives criteria-based decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities
  • Defines and maintains the design documentation standards for enterprise architecture for the relevant domain or applications
  • Analyzes design and develops a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
  • Reviews and/or analyses and develops architecture at the domain level and across multiple teams
  • Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities for multiple teams or complex scenarios
  • Provides leadership and technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain. Share technical, procedural, and business knowledge with others. Leverage your domain expertise; you are expected to further your knowledge and improve the productivity of your colleagues with activities such as creating learning content, giving presentations, and supporting a continuous learning culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience

  • Ability to work well with multiple vendors and businesses during separation project implementation.
  • Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions.
  • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
  • Experience working with others on a global basis.
  • Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others.
  • Strong experience in facilitation, relationship building, and issue management expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive briefings and clear and concise communications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and product teams to influence the creation of shared strategies.
