As a Passport Officer, you will play a critical role in the secure and efficient issuance of Canadian travel documents. Working as part of the Passport Program under Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), your responsibilities will include processing applications, verifying documentation, and upholding the integrity and security of the passport system.
This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to interpret federal travel documentation policies. Passport officers are the frontline defenders of national identity integrity and international travel security.

Examine and verify passport applications and supporting documentation.

Detect and report fraudulent documents or inconsistencies.

Liaise with law enforcement and immigration officers when needed.

Input, track, and update information in internal databases.

Conduct applicant interviews where required.

Ensure compliance with government policies, legal standards, and privacy regulations.

Prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
โ Required Qualifications

Canadian citizenship (mandatory, as per IRCC requirement).

Secondary school diploma or equivalent.

Post-secondary education in public administration, political science, or a related field is an asset.

Experience in a government administrative or document processing role is preferred.

Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
