Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting with the closing of the books and preparation of financial statements, including monthly/quarterly account analysis and reconciliation, journal entries, and work papers for our client companies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the integrity of general ledgers for multi-sites and companies.
- Coordinate the completion of the balance sheet account analysis.
- Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
- Provide accounting expertise to assist other areas in understanding financial information.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Perform all tasks associated with the general ledger, enter monthly journal entries, execute monthly closing entries, and execute the month-end general ledger.
- Preparation of tax returns for individuals (Schedule C, schedule D, schedule E, form 1116, form 8865, form 5471, FBar 8938) and corporate clients (form 1120, form 1120-S, form 1065, form 990)
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager
Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes:
- 5 – 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior work experience with accounting for multiple companies.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems.
- Tax preparation experience is necessary
- Individual will possess a business mindset with demonstrated customer service skills working within a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Fluency in French is a plus.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or French DUT/BTS in accounting + a minimum of 4 years working experience
